The rapid growth of digital technologies continues to transform how people communicate, learn, work, conduct business, and access public services. At the same time, countries within the Mano River Union face common challenges, including limited Internet access, digital literacy gaps, cybersecurity risks, data governance issues, and unequal participation in global digital policy discussions.
Recognizing the need for stronger regional capacity, the MRU IGF Secretariat established the Mano River Union School on Internet Governance and Emerging Technologies (MRU SIG) as a flagship educational initiative to prepare current and future leaders for meaningful engagement in digital governance.
